Product Review: Quilt in a Cup By Lynn Holland
Quilt in a Cup is a 28-ounce insulated beverage holder kit. It’s a simple and clever way to spotlight a small quilt or other fabric (or paper) creation that is both beautiful and practical. You can pour a giant-sized portion of liquid directly into it, or it’s large enough to hold a plastic soft drink (or water) bottle. Whatever you choose to put in it, it will keep it cool for a very long time. This unique kit makes a great personal gift that says you gave it some thought and effort (but not too much!) There’s no special expertise needed to put the cup together. The kit comes with the parts of the cup and special batting so all you have to add is the quilted fabric and glue it down to the inside part of the cup. Once the glue dries, just slip the inner part into the clear outer part and, Voila! Quilt in a Cup. The kit comes with complete instructions.
For those of us with lots of friends who have been hinting that you should make them a quilt, this is a great way to fill the need. It doesn’t take tons of time or money to create something personal and useful. It’s a great novelty gift for any occasion, but one that won’t be forgotten or re-gifted. Furthermore, it’s a great size for those of us who try to drink lots of water every day! |
